Are You Stalking or Desperate for Attention?
Normally, people would resort to the silliest things just to get on the good side of their prospect. This would entail having to do stuff like suddenly wearing clothes that are not their normal wardrobe, spreading rumor about themselves, trying to squeeze themselves in a group where they are not really comfortable and so on. The list goes on. But unless there is that strange tingling feeling, a passion to which a person would want to catch the eye of the person that they are targeting, chances are these individuals would not do this stuff on any day.
There are people who would try to ask around and do some investigation to gather preliminary information about the person that they are interested of. Some would find out their address, telephone number, mobile number, instant messaging id, and other forms of possible communication so that they can be able try and touch base with the person.
However, there are means to which some people would tend to go overboard that it crosses the line between desperation and stalking. Desperation is when a person is unable to control him or herself and would exhaust all means of being able to get noticed by the person. On the other hand, stalking is something that may very well spell doom since it becomes evidently uncomfortable for the person that they are interested in, most of the time reaching an extent of invading their privacy which is quite disturbing.
Stalkers are people who become obsessed with people that they tend to forget that discomforts on their part becomes something negative and may eventually put a halt to their original intentions of wanting to know the person and assess as to which extent they can be able to go. Such would indeed be a shame but allowing sanity to go beyond bounds is really something that can only be blamed towards the person and to no one else.
So the fine line between stalking and catching attention must be defined. There are borders to which people must consider and going beyond them may be too risky and become beyond their control. Admittedly, some instance would be considered as becoming infatuated with people that it is no longer nice to consider. The best way for people to understand when intimacy and obsession are reaching their climax is when people sit down of a second and ask themselves, how would I feel if I were in the shoes of the person who is being followed or stalked for that matter.
